IFM Food Plans…

GIGO is an acronym for “Garbage In, Garbage Out.”

Optimizing your health will be challenging if you only ever eat potato chips. We’re not saying you need to bore your taste buds, but your health begins with what you put in your body.

There are healthy, flavorful options as we eat better. Recent research informs our approach to food that helps you upregulate your natural detoxification pathways, reduce inflammation, and improve digestion.

All our food plans are created by the Institute of Functional Medicine.

  • IFM Core

    The Core Food Plan is a foundational eating plan that maintains health and prevents disease. It focuses on whole, clean foods with an emphasis on quality protein, fat, fiber, and phytonutrients.

    The Core Food Plan develops principles of healthy eating by cultivating your awareness of your relationship to food and the connection between food choices and health.

  • IFM Detox

    The Detox Food Plan focuses on foods that help your body (especially your liver) eliminate toxins, lowering your toxic burden, and supporting a healthy immune system.

    This plan reduces food triggers (allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances), while providing targeted antioxidants, supporting nutrient-dependent pathways, and balancing hormone metabolism.

  • IFM Elimination

    The Elimination Food Plan is a short-term plan that eliminates common food triggers (e.g., gluten, dairy) that often cause health conditions, followed by a personalized reintroduction process.

    This plan heals the gut, reduces inflammation, and supports a healthy microbiome, while identifying specific foods that have been causing ongoing symptoms.

  • IFM Cardiometabolic

    The Cardiometabolic Food Plan is designed for those who have (or are at risk for) heart disease, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.

    Using food to treat underlying causes of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, this plan is a modified Mediterranean approach that’s high in fiber, low in simple sugars, and rich in phytonutrients.

  • IFM Mito

    The Mito Food Plan is an anti-inflammatory, low-carbohydrate, high-quality-fats approach to eating designed to support energy production, overall vitality, and healthy aging.

    Supporting healthy mitochondria at the cellular level through intermittent fasting, anti-inflammatory nutrients, and protective antioxidants, this plan reduces symptoms of fatigue, pain, and “brain fog.”
